There is a boy standing in front of a glass window staring at the drizzling raindrops outside. He is about 5 years old. Growing in a good family he lives a happy life. This is the first time he sees a rainfall in winter. What has he seen?

Wind blows the raindrops striking on the glass. We can hardly see anything through the water-washed window. But the boy must have caught something for he has stood there still for quite a while. What has he seen?

People say that children have “clean” eyes. They have a “third eye”. They can see what adults can’t see. With growing of age and the piling up of experience, the “third eye” degenerates. The more closer we adults get to the material world, the more farther away we are from the mysterious wonderland. Boy, could you tell me what you have seen?

Sorry to draw you back from the enchanting intoxication. What? There are two girls playing in the yard? Yes. They both wear red dress and green trousers, teasing each other under an old fashioned oilcloth umbrella. An old man with white beard stands beside an elegant wagon looking at the two girls kindly. Oh! Something happens! There appears a rainbow from sky directly down to the yard. Another more elegant wagon comes down along the rainbow! A beautiful woman sits in the center of the coach and many pretty girls are flying around. The two girls in the yard seem scared. They stop kidding and watch the wagon lower down smoothly before them.

The woman has a beautiful and kind face but now looks stern:” how dare you two come down playing without my permission? I have told you so many times it is dangerous to meet human beings. You haven’t been trained to resist the temptation of the world full of RED and GREEN. Once you fall into dust, no one can help you to regain your eternal of life. Come with me to go back home immediately”. The white beard old man bows to the woman and approaches the two frightened girls, whispers to their ears and then leads them to the wagon. Instantly the two wagons and the rainbow disappears.

The boy in front of the french window is a bit disappointed.” why it is dangerous to meet human beings? I won’t do any harm to them. They are so lovely, but they are gone. When can I meet them again?”

The winter rain keeps falling, water flows down along the glass. It gets misty outside. And there are some mist found in the boy’s eyes.
